Floating Spirit

Lightness felt in deep wandering spirit
Roaming wherever providence takes it
Floating high above our day’s turmoils
Without attachment to earthly pleasures
But taking enjoyment in whatever comes.

Concentrations on calming peace
Harbored within my inner persona
Thoughts of spirit’s mirthful journeys,
Snow capped mountains and their slopes
Which have been traversed on long skis.

Walks along myriad ocean shores
Listening to musical waves rolling in
Watching porpoises gracefully leap,
Touring Spanish cities’ Plaza Mayors
Seeing artful ancient Gothic cathedrals.

Joined to wild spirit as it freely floats
Without strong concerns or constraints,
Following its wandering wherever it goes
Always feeling lightness in how it floats
