Mysterious lights in night’s darkness
Illuminations initiated by other beings
Comfort felt in knowing they are here
In midst of night’s barren desolation
Spirit more buoyant in seeing lights.

Walking through this dead of night
Past illuminations flickering lights
Back into depths of thickening dark…
