Meandering

Hiking along leave strewn trails
Winter remnants of ancient trees
Day is darkly overcast, gray clouds
Lack of sun keeps it colder still
Few other people seen nearby.

Meandering thoughts as I hike
Other times and different places
Letting them flow as they wish,
Trail leads me to old wooden bridge
Perched above fast raging creek.
