Ocean Storm Clouds

Swirling black clouds above ocean waves

Distant light flashes piercing darkness,

Ocean roar of rolling waves underneath

Eerie presence before storm thunders.

Tide lashes deep below sandy dunes

Dunes sprouting sea oats and wiry grass,

Beach deserted in early morning watch

No interlopers stroll beneath these clouds.

Quiet calm awaits new day breaking

Before light penetrates morning darkness,

Bleak night yielding to stormy clouds

Day taking form with no sun shining.

Ethereal presence looms above ocean

Some black clouds transitioning to gray,

Storm clouds might just float and fade

Dark clouds always pass but light prevails.
